Standards
Editorial policy.
The supplement industry buys its coverage. We don't sell ours. Here's the wall.
Independence
Supplement Skeptic does not accept paid reviews, sponsored placements, or editorial input from any brand we cover. The Skeptic Desk chooses what to review based on reader interest and category relevance — not on who's paying a bounty this quarter.
The affiliate firewall
Some links on this site are affiliate links. We may earn a commission when a reader makes a purchase. Editorial verdicts are written before commissions are calculated and never modified based on payout size. Our highest-payout links often carry our most critical reviews. That's the point.
Corrections
If we're wrong, we fix it — visibly. Corrections are appended to the top of the article with the date and a description of what changed. We do not silently edit published material.
Medical review
Reviews labeled Medically reviewed have been read by a licensed clinician listed in the byline. Reviews labeled Evidence review are written by research analysts and cite published sources but are not clinical advice.
What we will not publish
- Affiliate-sponsored "best of" lists dressed up as editorial
- AI-generated review copy without human evidence review
- Before/after photos supplied by the vendor
- Doctor endorsements without verified credentials
