Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: March 2026
The Short Version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help us keep the site running and continue buying products to review.
Affiliate relationships never influence our ratings, rankings, or recommendations. If a product is bad, we say so — even if we'd earn money by recommending it.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Compliance
In accordance with the FTC's guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose the following:
Supplement Skeptic is a participant in various affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to retail partners. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Amazon Associates Program
- Individual supplement brand affiliate programs
- Health and wellness affiliate networks
What This Means for You
When you see links on our site, here's what to know:
- Affiliate links are marked with "Check Price" buttons or similar calls to action. Clicking these links and making a purchase may result in us earning a commission.
- You pay the same price whether you use our affiliate link or go directly to the retailer. Our commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
- We only link to products we've actually reviewed. We don't create content around products just because they have affiliate programs.
How We Maintain Independence
We take several steps to ensure our affiliate relationships don't compromise our editorial integrity:
- We buy products ourselves. We never accept free products from brands. Every item we review is purchased at full retail price.
- Ratings are determined before monetization. Our review process and ratings are finalized before we consider whether or not an affiliate program exists for the product.
- We recommend against purchase when warranted. If our analysis concludes a product is not worth buying, we say so clearly — even when an affiliate link is available.
- We disclose affiliate relationships clearly. Every page with affiliate links includes a disclosure banner, and individual affiliate buttons are labeled accordingly.
Products We Don't Earn From
Many of our recommendations point to products that have no affiliate program. In these cases, we link to them anyway because our job is to help you find the best products, not to maximize our commissions.
Sponsored Content
As of this writing, we do not accept sponsored reviews, paid product placements, or any form of compensation from supplement brands in exchange for coverage. If this policy ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly and prominently labeled.
Newsletter
Our email newsletter may occasionally include clearly labeled sponsor messages. These sponsors are vetted and are always identified as paid placements. Sponsor messages never influence our editorial content.
